Sanghamitta Lays the Foundation Stone For a New Building
Foundation stone laying for the construction of a new administrative building was held on 6th February 2017 in Sanghamitta Balika Vidyalaya, with the presence of the cabinet minister of home affairs, Member of Parliament for Galle district, Mr. Vajira Abeywardena.
“In the next few years, all the shortcomings of Sanghamitta will be fixed”; said MP Mr. Vajira Abeywardena, addressing the occasion.
Mr.Gayantha Karunathilaka, the cabinet minister of Media, Mr.Chandima Weerakkody, the cabinet minister of petroleum and petroleum gas, Mr.Manusha Nanayakkara, Member of Parliament for Galle district and other government officials, principals, teachers, past pupils, members of the SDS, students and many other guests also participated in the event.
This project has been implemented under the consultation of, his Excellency the president, Maithripala Sirisena, the prime minister, Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe and the guidance of the minister of education, Mr.Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.
