Sanghamitta’s Senior Deputy Principal Enters the Retired Life
Mrs. Murial Enderarachchi, the senior deputy principal of Sanghamitta Balika Vidyalaya, retired from her service on 6th February 2017. She gave her great service to Sanghamitta College as a teacher, an assistant principal, deputy principal and a performing principal for nearly twenty eight years.
After finishing school education she was able to enter the University of Colombo for the higher education. She left the university receiving a B.A. (sp) (Hons) degree for Econ. She was first appointed as an assistant teacher at Julangawe Vidyalaya, Padalangala, Ratnapura in 1984.
From 25th August 1989, she gave her immeasurable service to Sanghamitta Balika Vidyalaya. In 1991, she was promoted to the second grade of principal service and from 1993 to 1997 she served as an assistant principal. She became the deputy principal of Sanghamitta College in 1997 and she was appointed as the performing principal in 2004 which was a very difficult time period for the school. Mrs. Enderarachchi who was promoted to the third grade of Sri Lankan administrative service in 2009, gave her excellent service to Sanghamitta, as the senior deputy principal until 6th February 2017.
Mrs. Murial Enderarachchi was a strong pillar to hold mother Sanghamitta, the largest Buddhist girls’ school in Sri Lanka. For the dedication and hard work, she deserves the best retirement ever. All the Sanghamittians wish her an enjoyable new journey of her life.
